Believe it or not a Sheriff’s office in Arkansas is forcing inmates to pose for their mugshots in Nike sportswear attire.
The Sheriff’s Department is located in El Dorado, Arkansas, and is meant to embarrass former NFL football player Colin Kaepernick. These photos were uncovered by a self titled “justice reform activist” Shaun King. “The Sheriff in Union County, Arkansas is putting Nike t-shirts on people they arrest and making them wear them during mugshots,” King wrote on Twitter.
“Source says it is to mock Nike and Colin Kaepernick. Disgusting.” King added.
Conservatives launched a number of boycotts of Nike for using Kaepernick for a recent ad campaign. Kaepernick, of course, refused to show respect for our troops and our country by refusing to to stand during the national anthem.
The local station KATV reached out to the Sheriff’s office, but received no comment. The Sheriff’s office removed the photos after the allegations.
