Michael Avenatti – the porn star attorney representing Stormy Daniels – was smacked down hard today by a judge and ordered to pay millions to an attorney at his former firm.
Mr. Michael Avenatti did not attend the hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court today, where a judge ruled he must pay almost $5 million dollars on a settlement with attorney Jason Frank over back pay. Jason Frank claims Avenatti’s firm mis-represented profits and now he was owed millions of dollars in back pay.
This is yet another huge setback for Micheal Avenatti, who is rumored to be considering a run at the White House. It seems an earlier ruling had forced Avenatti to pay $10 million dollars to Frank. Of course, Avenatti countered that Jason Frank owes him “$12 million for fraud but failed to explain further. The Daily Beast also recently published a story about how Avenatti owes millions of dollars in unpaid taxes.
Avenatti became moderately famous on TV after his porn star client Stormy Daniels tried to sue President Trump. The case was thrown out of court, and a judge ordered Stormy Daniels to pay Trump’s legal fees.
